Incarnadine, His Serene and Transcendent Majesty of the House of Haplodite, Lord of the Western Pale, Liege Lord, Imperator and Gatekeeper, King of the Realms Perilous, Sovereign Ruler of Ylium, Zephorea, Halmudia, Grekoran, and West Thurlangia, Protector of... Well, you get the idea. After several hundred years of ruling in various universes, one does tend to accumulate names.

Incarnadine, Inky to his family, John to his friends, is best known as the master of the realm known as the Castle Perilous.A great beast of a castle, containing a hundred and forty four thousand doors that lead to an equal number of worlds.He is a master magician, a technological mastermind, and, in his spare, time, he writes science fiction on Earth under a pseudonym of John Carney.

He is a loving family man, a good father, and a pretty good husband. He spends a lot of his time problem solving, whether in his home realm, in the castle, or in one of the many worlds he's connected to. He's spent hundreds of years studying magic, in a variety of realms, just to see how it ticks.

He spends as much time protecting the realms from outside forces, as he does protecting them from his own extended family. When people routinely live to be more than a thousand years old, they have a tendency to cause drama. It doesn't help that many of them, including his own brother Trent, have made attempts to take the castle from him.

Inky is of the opinion that the Castle Perilous works best when in his own hands. After all, any one else might try to make something of it, make money off it, or try and put the Guests to work. No, no, Inky knows that he is the only one who could possibly control the true might of the Castle... by just kind of letting it do its thing, and making sure he has plans in place in case that goes wrong.

Incarnadine spends his time drifting between worlds. While he has a pretty good business as a science fiction writer on Earth, he's a well known oracle on another world, and a noble or advisor in a multitude of others. It is really only fitting that the Lord of the Infinite Castle finds himself at Milliways- After all, he needs to eat too.
